television and film audio post production in the heart of downtown toronto

Spence-Thomas audio post was founded in 1967 by Canadian film sound pioneer Patrick Spence-Thomas. Originally a very small film mixing studio, we have grown into a fully digital sound-for-picture facility. We could describe ourselves as a boutique, however, a more apt description might be the Little Big studio. Now operated by Patrick’s son Richard Spence-Thomas, we offer 3 sound-for-picture suites to suit a wide range of projects. Our creative technical and engineering team has collectively worked with producers on many thousands of film and television projects. Our credits range from the smallest of independent films to large scale feature projects and major television series. Located in the heart of Toronto's central business district, we are steps from subway, bus, and streetcar lines, and many of the major shopping and entertainment districts in the city. We have grown by leaps and bounds from that original one room facility in the 1960s, but the legacy of Patrick Spence-Thomas is still evident in our family-run business to this day. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
